Working on my shop!!!

I'm very close to opening up my girls accessories shop on etsy. Just waiting on a few packages and do some last minute touch ups.
In search of cute packaging I went to the container store for the first time and omg I love that place! It's OCD heaven lol. But unfortunately not the best prices in the world for a thrifty (and broke) me. Their not bad but I could get a few things I saw there somewhere cheaper. But the things I did get I'm in love with! This pink paper is so pretty and exactly what I wanted. I'm so happy. I can't wait to open the shop! The waiting is killing me.

I'm Back!!!

As most of you may have noticed I haven't posted in a while. Well life got pretty crazy here for a while and is about to get even crazier.

My husband and I are excepting another child in August! A little boy! We are naming him Aiden James. We are all very excited and Evie is so happy to be a big sister.

And to make this blessing even better my sister-in-law is also pregnant! 3 weeks behind me! Crazy right? Its amazing how God works. So I am very blessed to have someone to go through this with who knows how I'm feeling whenever I complain about my aches and pains.

Life has been pretty crazy with baby news, lose of family members, trying to find a bigger place, celebrations, Evie's activates and so much more. So again I am sorry that I haven't posted in a while but hopefully I will be able to keep up with it again.

Evie's Pink Cowgirl Party

Evie's Pink Cowgirl Birthday Party

On May 6th our little girl turned 5! So to celebrate we threw her a pink cowgirl party. She had so much fun and was so happy. She is still talking about it.

I had to work with a pretty tight budget but I managed to give her  pretty awesome party. We held it at our house and asked guest to bring food. I made the cake and cupcakes and made a lot of the décor myself. Things like table clothes and tableware I got at the dollar tree. The colors were pink and white so I bought a lot of white tableware we could use again after the party.

Evie's favorite thing about it was her new outfit. I ordered the hat from Birthday Express. com for $8.(link at the bottom of page.) The cute pink dress was from Walmart for $10. I was going to get her a big tutu but she saw this dress and fell in love with it. The boots we already had.
( Oh and if your wondering about the pink dress up closet in the back, I made that and will post how to do it soon.)

The cake was a box cake, which I usually don't do but I was pressed on time and money. It actually came out pretty good, everybody loved it. I did a vanilla cake with strawberry icing (Which was SO yummy.) To display it I borrowed my amazing sister-in-laws cake stand and put a paper dollies under it. Then to decorate it I bought a toy horse from the dollar tree and a cute glitter 5 candle from Walmart. The name flag I made with white glitter felt, pink paint pen, hot pink silk ribbon and wooden craft rods. I just cut the felt in diamond shapes and folded them in half. Then with the paint pen I wrote her name on both sides. When dry I folded them over the ribbon and glued them together. Then glued the ribbon to the rods. That easy!

The cupcakes were chocolate cake mix and strawberry icing with brown sprinkles. I got the cute horseshoe plates at Birthday express.com also for cheap. To give it a rustic look I put the snacks in foil trays. The snacks were popcorn with colorful marshmallows and pretzels. I used a simple white tablecloth to balance out all the pink and then use pink tulle and wooden hearts with Es on them on the front of table. ( I wish I had better photos but I was crazy busy.)

We served hamburgers also that my amazing father grilled for us. Then I had vintage sodas and Huggs fruit drinks for the kids ( these are great for cowgirl/cowboy parties because they look like barrels.)

In the end my little one had a blast and that's all that matters.
ENJOY!

Lunchbox Mason Jar Cup

How to Make a Lunchbox Mason Jar Cup

Good afternoon!

Well my little one is in Pre-K and she takes her lunch to school everyday. I usually pack her a juice box but I wanted to give her some variety. I had nothing to put something like milk or that in, so I looked online and found this idea. It works pretty well!

All you need is a mason jar, a lid ring, and a milk/juice carton with a twist cap. Cut the carton around the cap in the shape and size of the jar ring. This will be your lid.

Put the carton lid into the ring.

Then just place lid on mason jar real tight and your done!

And now you have something that you can put milk, juice, anything!! Just make sure the lid and the cap are closed tightly. Don't want any spills.
